Not only are we facing the “New Normal” in our everyday lives but also in the world of travel. At this moment in time, being in the high-risk category for COVID,  I personally feel insecure about traveling overseas, taking an ocean cruise or a prolonged flight in 2021 until the end of the year. However, I have met several people who have just returned from resorts in both Mexico and Antiqua and felt very safe while having a wonderful vacation. Travelers are beginning to take advantage of the sales. The countries open to travelers from the USA carefully comply with all CDC requirements. Each country has their own guides lines and protocol and follow all CDC requirements. Masks, social distancing, sanitizing, and disinfecting the rooms are practiced throughout the day with resorts presently at about 30% capacity to allow for social distancing. Purchasing travel insurance that covers COVID is mandatory when entering the Caribbean countries. These policies are purchased upon arrival  at a set fee per person. Before reentering the states COVID testing is required and provided to you at your location. If you test positive while at the resort you are moved to rooms in a separate area and are quarantined for 10-14 days. All meals and services are free of charge.

Tours, cruises, independent travel, and river cruises are now being sold many with flexible dates, refundable deposits, liberal insurance coverages and discounted prices for late 2021, 2022 and even 2023. Now is a great time to capture those sales for future travel before there is a mass demand for travel when Covid finally is controlled.
